Where do we go

Lord to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God. Peter says this to Jesus after a number of Jesus' disciples abandon the cause. I look at this verse and I think where would I go. The places I have already looked and went I do not want to return. The world I have searched and found no answers. I have looked in the bottom of a beer glass and looked "through the looking glass". But I did not find what I was looking for. Then Christ found me, he called me to come and follow Him. The answer I was desperately seeking found me. The one thing I desperately wanted to possess, but could not find found me. How great is His love for us that He is desperately seeking us. But how weak is my resolve that I still look to other things. How much I pray for the faith and resolve of Peter. To whom shall I go Lord? Where does one go when one has found true love? Where does one go when one has found the perfect answer? He does not seek another love, he does not continue his calculations. Why is it that when we find Jesus we still look elsewhere? Every other road leads to death. There is only one road that leads us safely home and Jesus stands at the gate. He said I am the gate keeper. He also said I know my sheep and they know me. And they scatter at the voice of a stranger. So Lord to whom else would I go. If my heart is yours and my life is yours would I not scatter at the sound of a strangers voice? Would I really chose a road that leads to death? Lord, there is no other chose I can make. I choose you because you first chose me. So now I've made my choice. Have you made yours.

Jesus has the words of eternal life. To whom else shall we go?
